Entering the Masjid Dua:
The Messenger of Allah -peace and blessings be upon him- said, “Whoever among you first enters the mosque, let him say:
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
(Allahumma Aftahli Abwaba Rahmatika)
English:
“O Allah, open for me the gates of Your mercy.”
This hadith is from Sunan Abu Dawud, Volume 1, Hadith 463, and is graded Sahih (authentic).

Entrance into the mosque is recom-mended to begin with sending blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad -peace and blessings be upon him-, followed by a supplication requesting Allah to open the doors of His mercy. This implies humbleness: one recognizes his dependency on Allah’s mercy and requests that this blessing be upon whomsoever enters such a blessed area.

(Allahumma inni asaluka min fadlika)
English:
“O Allah, I ask You for Your grace.”
This hadith is related by Sunan Abu Dawud, Vol. 1, Hadith No. 463, and the status of this hadith is Sahih (authentic).
Explanation:
He is invited to praise and ask for more with Allah while leaving the mosque. He also acknowledges his dependence on Allah’s favor and implores His continued grace and blessings.

Dua upon entering masjid in Quran
The special supplication for entering the mosque is not mentioned in the Holy Quran, but it does mention that while entering any place, one has to seek permission from Allah and make His name a mention.
In surat An-Nur, Verse 24:27, Allah ordered the believers to ask for permission before entering private places:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ بُيُوتِكُمْ حَتَّى تَسْتَأْنِسُوا وَتُسَلِّمُوا عَلَىٰ أَهْلِهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
“O you who have believed, do not enter houses other than your own houses until you ascertain welcome and greet their inmates. That is best for you; that you may be reminded. “
Permission is required to enter one’s private space, and politeness necessitates respect.
Although there is no mention in the Quran of entering the mosque with a particular dua, from the Sunnah it was established that one should say “Bismillah” and recite particular supplications for seeking Allah’s mercy and showing gratitude upon entering the mosque. The Sunnah indicates these supplications for invoking blessings.
While certain duas wordings may be derived from Sunnah, the general principles of seeking permission and invoking the name of Allah prior to entry are certainly derived from Quranic expressions relating to etiquette and good behavior.
