وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هَلۡ تُحِسُّ مِنۡهُم مِّنۡ أَحَدٍ أَوۡ تَسۡمَعُ لَهُمۡ رِكۡزَۢا

This is verse 36 from Surah Maryam (سورة مريم), which translates to:

“And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Do you perceive of them anyone or hear from them a sound?”

وَكَأۡسࣰا دِهَاقࣰا

“Say, ‘Have you seen what Allah has sent down to you of provision of which you have made [some] lawful and [some] unlawful?’ Say, ‘Has Allah permitted you [to do so], or do you invent [something] about Allah?'”

This verse addresses the issue of people unlawfully declaring certain things as halal (permissible) or haram (forbidden) without any authority from Allah. It challenges those who make such declarations without divine authorization and emphasizes the importance of adhering to the laws and guidance set forth by Allah rather than inventing laws based on personal desires or whims.

This verse is from Surah Al Imran (سورة آل عمران), verse 189:

لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

“To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them, and He is over all things competent.”

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ

This verse translates to:

“Indeed, those who disbelieve from the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.”

This verse discusses the fate of those who disbelieve from among the People of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and the polytheists. It states that they will be in the fire of Hell, dwelling in it forever. فَٱلۡمُورِیَـٰتِ قَدۡحࣰا

This phrase is from Surah At-Takwir (سورة التكوير), verse 8:

فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا

This verse translates to:

“So when the stars are obliterated,”

This verse is part of a description of the Day of Judgment, where the sky is described as being torn apart and the stars are obliterated. “And how many a city have We destroyed that was insolent in its [way of] living, and those are their dwellings which have not been inhabited after them except briefly. And it is We who were the inheritors.”

This verse describes how many cities or communities were destroyed by Allah due to their arrogance and wrongdoing. Their dwellings remained uninhabited after their destruction, except for a short period. The verse emphasizes that Allah is the ultimate inheritor and controller of all things.

This phrase is from Surah Al-Falaq (سورة الفلق), verse 3:

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ

This verse translates to:

“And from the evil of darkness when it settles,”

وَلِكُلٍّۢ دَرَجَـٰتࣱ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوا۟ۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا یَعۡمَلُونَ

“And for all are degrees from what they have done. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do.”

وَجَعَلْنَا مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ

“And We have placed before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.”

“Until, when they reach it, their hearing and their eyes and their skins will testify against them of what they used to do.”

وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَیۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِیمٌ

Translation: “And if it were not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy and because Allah is Accepting of repentance and Wise.”

وَوَصَّیۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ بِوَ ٰ⁠لِدَیۡهِ حُسۡنࣰاۖ وَإِن جَـٰهَدَاكَ لِتُشۡرِكَ بِی مَا لَیۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمࣱ فَلَا تُطِعۡهُمَاۤۚ إِلَیَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

This verse is from Surah Al-Ankabut in the Quran, verse 8. The translation is:

“And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.”

وَیُعَذِّبَ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِینَ وَٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتِ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكَـٰتِ ٱلظَّاۤنِّینَ بِٱللَّهِ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوۡءِۚ عَلَیۡهِمۡ دَاۤىِٕرَةُ ٱلسَّوۡءِۖ وَغَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَلَعَنَهُمۡ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَسَاۤءَتۡ مَصِیرࣰا

This verse is from Surah Al-Fath in the Quran, verse 6. The translation is:

“And [He also forgave] the hypocrites—both men and women—and the polytheists—both men and women—who harbor evil thoughts about Allah. Evil indeed is their thinking! Allah has become angry with them, and has condemned them, and has prepared for them Hell, and what a terrible destination!”

یَوۡمَ یَبۡعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ جَمِیعࣰا فَیَحۡلِفُونَ لَهُۥ كَمَا یَحۡلِفُونَ لَكُمۡ وَیَحۡسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمۡ عَلَىٰ شَیۡءٍۚ أَلَاۤ إِنَّهُمۡ هُمُ ٱلۡكَـٰذِبُونَ

This verse is from Surah Al-Mujadila in the Quran, verse 18. The translation is:

“The Day Allah will resurrect them all, they will swear to Him as they swear to you and think that they are [standing] on something. Unquestionably, it is they who are the liars.”

إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرۡهُمۡ یُضِلُّوا۟ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا یَلِدُوۤا۟ إِلَّا فَاجِرࣰا كَفَّارࣰا

This verse is from Surah Al-Ma’idah in the Quran, verse 27. The translation is:

“Indeed, if You should leave them, they would mislead Your servants and not give birth [to any] except wicked disbelievers.”

سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰۤ إِلۡ یَاسِینَ

This verse is from Surah Ya-Sin in the Quran, verse 58. The translation is:

“[They will be greeted with], ‘Peace,’ a word from a Merciful Lord.”

فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَاۤ أَتَیَاۤ أَهۡلَ قَرۡیَةٍ ٱسۡتَطۡعَمَاۤ أَهۡلَهَا فَأَبَوۡا۟ أَن یُضَیِّفُوهُمَا فَوَجَدَا فِیهَا جِدَارࣰا یُرِیدُ أَن یَنقَضَّ فَأَقَامَهُۥۖ قَالَ لَوۡ شِئۡتَ لَتَّخَذۡتَ عَلَیۡهِ أَجۡرࣰا

This verse is from Surah Al-Kahf in the Quran, verse 77. The translation is:

“So they set out, until when they came to the people of a town, they asked its people for food, but they refused to offer them hospitality. And they found therein a wall about to collapse, so al-Khidh r restored it. [Moses] said, “If you wished, you could have taken for it a payment.”

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ یَرۡمُونَ ٱلۡمُحۡصَنَـٰتِ ٱلۡغَـٰفِلَـٰتِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ لُعِنُوا۟ فِی ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِیمࣱ

This verse is from Surah An-Nur in the Quran, verse 23. The translation is:

“Indeed, those who falsely accuse chaste, unaware, believing women are cursed in this world and the Hereafter; and they will have a great punishment.”

وَلَسَوۡفَ یُعۡطِیكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰۤ

This verse is from Surah Ad-Duha in the Quran, verse 5. The translation is:

“And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.”

أَلَیۡسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحۡكَمِ ٱلۡحَـٰكِمِینَ

This verse is from Surah At-Tin in the Quran, verse 8. The translation is:

“Is Allah not the most just of judges?”

فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ هِیَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ

This verse is from Surah An-Naba in the Quran, verse 40. The translation is:

“Indeed, Paradise will be [their] refuge.”

قَدۡ مَكَرَ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَأَتَى ٱللَّهُ بُنۡیَـٰنَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلسَّقۡفُ مِن فَوۡقِهِمۡ وَأَتَىٰهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ مِنۡ حَیۡثُ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ

This verse is from Surah An-Nahl in the Quran, verse 26. The translation is:

“Those before them had plotted, but Allah struck at the foundation of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them from above them, and the punishment came to them from where they did not perceive.”

ٱللَّهُ لَطِیفُۢ بِعِبَادِهِۦ یَرۡزُقُ مَن یَشَاۤءُۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡقَوِیُّ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ

This verse is from Surah Ash-Shura in the Quran, verse 19. The translation is:

“Allah is Subtle with His servants; He gives provision to whom He wills. And He is the Powerful, the Exalted in Might.”

وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمُ ٱسۡجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ أَنَسۡجُدُ لِمَا تَأۡمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمۡ نُفُورࣰا ۩

This verse is from Surah Maryam in the Quran, verse 58. The translation is:

“And when it is said to them, ‘Prostrate to the Most Merciful,’ they say, ‘And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?’ And it increases them in aversion.”

ٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُحۡیِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاۚ قَدۡ بَیَّنَّا لَكُمُ ٱلۡـَٔایَـٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ

Translation: “Know that Allah revives the earth after its death. Indeed, We have made clear the signs for you, so that you may understand.”

وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِیهِ

This phrase is from Surah At-Tur in the Quran, verse 49. The translation is:

“And his [i.e., the believer’s] wife and his children.”

لَّا یُسۡمِنُ وَلَا یُغۡنِی مِن جُوعࣲ

This phrase is from Surah Al-Layl in the Quran, verse 7. The translation is:

“He does not believe and does not encourage the feeding of the poor.”

ءَاخِذِینَ مَاۤ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَبۡلَ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ مُحۡسِنِینَ

This phrase is from Surah Al-Ma’arij in the Quran, verse 24. The translation is:

“[They will be] taking what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.”

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ إِذَا جَاۤءَ نَصۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡفَتۡحُ

This phrase is the beginning of Surah Al-Fath in the Quran, verse 1. The translation is:

“In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest,”

لِّأَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ

This phrase is from Surah Al-Waqi’ah in the Quran, verse 27. The translation is:

“For the companions of the right [hand].”

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّی وَءَاتَىٰنِی رَحۡمَةࣰ مِّنۡ عِندِهِۦ فَعُمِّیَتۡ عَلَیۡكُمۡ أَنُلۡزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنتُمۡ لَهَا كَـٰرِهُونَ

This verse is from Surah Hud in the Quran, verse 28. The translation is:

“[Noah] said, ‘O my people, have you considered: if I should be upon clear evidence from my Lord while He has given me mercy from Himself but it has been made unapparent to you, should we force it upon you while you are averse to it?'”

یَدۡعُونَ فِیهَا بِكُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ ءَامِنِینَ

This phrase is from Surah Sad in the Quran, verse 50. The translation is:

“They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit, safe and secure.”

كَلَّا بَلۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ

This phrase is from Surah Al-Qiyamah in the Quran, verse 20. The translation is:

“Nay, you prefer the worldly life.”

وَأَنَّهُمۡ ظَنُّوا۟ كَمَا ظَنَنتُمۡ أَن لَّن یَبۡعَثَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدࣰا

This verse is from Surah Al-An’am in the Quran, verse 36. The translation is:

“And they had thought as you thought that Allah would never send anyone [as a messenger].”

وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا

“And [by] the earth and He who spread it,”

تُؤۡتِیۤ أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِینِۭ بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهَاۗ وَیَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَتَذَكَّرُونَ

“Every [creature] comes with its sustenance. And He will soon show them His signs. Then it is Allah who will be pleased to remember.”

فِیهَا كُتُبࣱ قَیِّمَةࣱ

This phrase is from Surah Al-Inshiqaq in the Quran, verse 13. The translation is:

“In it are records inscribed.”

كَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَـٰهَا قَوۡمًا ءَاخَرِینَ

This phrase is from Surah Al-A’raf in the Quran, verse 168. The translation is:

“So it was, and We made it an inheritance for another people.”

وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ

This phrase is from Surah Al-Mursalat in the Quran, verse 19. The translation is:

“Woe, that Day, to the deniers.”

۞ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَ ٰ⁠تِ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنِۚ وَمَن یَتَّبِعۡ خُطُوَ ٰ⁠تِ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنِ فَإِنَّهُۥ یَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡفَحۡشَاۤءِ وَٱلۡمُنكَرِۚ وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَیۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ مَا زَكَىٰ مِنكُم مِّنۡ أَحَدٍ أَبَدࣰا وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُزَكِّی مَن یَشَاۤءُۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِیعٌ عَلِیمࣱ

This verse is from Surah An-Nur in the Quran, verse 21. The translation is:

“O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan – indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, not one of you would have been pure, ever, but Allah purifies whom He wills, and Allah is Hearing and Knowing.”
