Namaz Ky Bad Ki Dua | 2024

One of the important things in Islam is to perform the supplications or du’as after one has carried out the obligatory prayers, popularly known as Salah or Namaz. The post-prayer du’a serves multipurpose purposes like seeking forgiveness, showing gratitude, and asking for Allah’s help in remembering and worshipping Him.

Introduction:
It is recommended in Islam, after the compulsory prayers are performed, to supplicate or make du’as. These post-prayer du’as keep a person connected with Allah in continuity, and guidance is sought from Allah. There are many authentic du’as that can be read out; however, there are some that are more common than others, which Muslims all over the world practice.

“SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar” 33 times each:
This is called the Tasbih Fatimah. Muslims often say “SubhanAllah” (Glory be to Allah), “Alhamdulillah” (All praise is due to Allah), and “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is the Greatest), each thirty-three times for a total of one hundred, counting the bead or fingers to do so. This practice is a way to glorify and remember Allah immediately after finishing the prayer.

“Rabbi a’inni ‘ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni ‘ibadatik:
It means: “My Lord, help me to remember You, give thanks to You, and worship You well.” This supplication, narrated by Mu’adh bin Jabal, emphasizes seeking Allah’s help in remembering Him, giving thanks, and uplifting one’s worship.

“La ilaha illa-l-lahu wahdahu la sharika lahu…” -known as the “Dua after Salah”- :
It means, “There is nothing worthy of worship except Allah Alone, Who has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion, to Him is all praise, and He has power over everything.” This long supplication acknowledges the oneness of Allah, His sovereignty, and power.

“La ilaha illa-Allah wahdahu la shareeka lah…”.END
Translation: “There is no deity except Allah, alone without any partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him is all praise. He is capable of all things. There is no power nor strength except through Allah. We worship none but Him. He possesses all blessings and favors, and to Him belongs the excellent praise.”

These post-prayer du’as offer a moment of reflection, humility, and attachment to Allah. It is a good practice to make these supplications an integral part of daily prayers of the believer in order to sow feelings of gratitude, dependence upon Allah, and remembrance of Allah throughout his life.

After every fard prayer:
“O Allah, You are the Source of Peace, and peace returns to You. Blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor.” (Sunan Abi Dawud 1512)

Mu’adh bin Jabal narrated that the Messenger of Allah said to him, “I love you, O Mu’adh!” He said, “And I love you, O Messenger of Allah.” Then he said, “Never forget after every prayer to say:
‘My Lord, help me to remember You, give thanks to You, and worship You well.’ ” (Sunan an-Nasa’i 1303)

Prayer after Salah :
“There is no god worth of worship besides Allah alone, who has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him is all praise. He is capable of all things. O Allah, nobody can withhold what You give and nobody can give what You withhold. A wealthy person cannot avail his or her wealth to prevent Your punishment.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6330)

Practice of Ibn Zubair:
Ibn Zubair used to say at the end of every prayer after pronouncing salutation:
“There is no god worthy of worship but Allah, alone without partner or associate. To Him belongs the dominion, to Him is all praise, and He is over all things omnipotent. There is no might or power except in Allah. We worship none but Him. He possesses all favors and bounty, and to Him belongs the excellent praise. There is no god worthy of worship but Allah, to Him do we offer our sincere devotion, even though the disbelievers detest it.”

Prayer Dua

Supplication at the end of every Obligatory prayer:
“There is no god but Allah. He is alone, without any partner. Sovereignty belongs to Him, and He has power over everything. There is no might or power except with Allah. There is no god but Allah, and we worship only Him. To Him belong all bounties, all grace, and He deserves all praise. There is no god but Allah, to whom we are sincerely devoted, even though the unbelievers disapprove.” (Sahih Muslim 594)

Supplication for repentance:
The Prophet -peace be upon him- recommended saying “Subhana’llah” -Glory be to Allah- thirty-three times, “Allahu akbar” -Allah is Greater- thirty-three times, and “al-hamdu lillah” -Praise be to Allah- thirty-three times, and concluding with:
“There is no god but Allah, alone without any partner. The Kingdom and praise belong to Him, and He has power over everything.” (Sahih Muslim 597)
Order to recite Mu’awwidhatan after each prayer:
The Prophet -peace be upon him- instructed to recite the last two surahs of the Qur’an, which are Mu’awwidhatan, following each prayer. (Sunan Abi Dawud 1523)

Supplication to be said immediately following the morning prayer (Subh):
Following the completion of his morning prayer, the Prophet -peace be upon him- would say:
“O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.” (Sunan Abi Dawud 1523)

These supplications encompass aspects such as seeking forgiveness from Allah, protection, beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptance of deeds. It is recommended that Muslims memorize these supplications in their daily prayers for spiritual well-being and to seek the mercy and guidance of Allah:.

This is the supplication generally known as the “Tasbih Fatimah” or the “Tasbeeh after Salah.” The action is Mustahabb (recommended) in Islam, and it is desirable that one be able to do this right after every compulsory prayer. This is how the supplication goes:

SubhanAllah, 33 times
(Exalted is Allah)

Alhamdulillah, 33 times
(All praise is due to Allah)

Allahu Akbar, 34 times
(Allah is the Greatest)

namaz ky bad dua prhana zrori

Han, namaz ke baad dua parhna Islami tareeqay mein ahem hai. Namaz ke baad dua-ek shakhs ki dua ko qubool hone ke liye ek khaas waqt hai, jab wo Allah Ta’ala ke saamne apne haajat aur zaruraton ko rakh sakta hai. Yeh duaen insaan ko Allah ki qurbat mein aur deen mein mazeed behtari hasil karne mein madad karti hain. Yahan kuch wajib aur mustahabb duaen di gayi hain jo namaz ke baad parhna sunnat hai:

  1. Dua for Forgiveness Astaghfirullah
Dua has little to do directly with the practical problems of man’s life, but a very good way is to commence with “Astaghfirullah”. Through this invocation, man asks for forgiveness from Allah Ta’ala for all his previous sins and seeks his repentance and forgiveness.
“Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar” yeh duaa insaan ki dunya aur aakhirat mein behtari ki talab ke liye hai. Is dua mein, Allah Ta’ala se behtareen zindagi aur aakhirat mein bhi falah ki guzarish ki jati hai.
  2. Dua for Family: Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhuriyyatina qurrata a’yunin:
“Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhuriyyatina qurrata a’yunin” yeh dua apni zindagi mein shamil hui family ke liye dua hai. Is dua mein Allah Ta’ala se apne shohar, biwi aur aulaad ke liye barkat aur khair ki guzarish hoti hai.
  3. Dua for Strength (Rabbighfir warham wa anta khair-ur-rahimeen):
“Rabbighfir warham wa anta khair-ur-rahimeen” yeh dua insaan ki kamzori aur majbooriyon ko door karne ke liye hai. Is dua mein Allah Ta’ala se maafi aur rehmat ki guzarish hoti hai.
  4. Dua for Useful Knowledge:
“Rabbi zidni ‘ilma” yeh dua ilm hasil karne aur samajhne ke liye hai. Is dua mein Allah Ta’ala se behtareen ilm aur samajh ki guzarish hoti hai.
  5. Dua for Gratitude:
Alhamdulillah keh kar Allah Ta’ala ka shukr ada karna bhi ek zaroori dua hai. Is du’a mein shukr aur ta’azeem ka izhar hota hai .
  6. Personal Supplications (Khudai Dua):
Namaz ke baad apne dil ki gehraiyon se apne maqsad aur maqasid ke liye apni khaas dua bhi kar sakte hain. Allah Ta’ala insaan ki siri haajat ko bhi janta hai aur uski duaon ko qubool karta hai.

Ye duaen namaz ke baad parhna sunnat hai jo insaan ko uske zindagi mein behtari, aur Allah Ta’ala ki raza hasil karna asaan kar deti hai.
