The evil eye is something that mustn’t be ignored. In case it is true that a good eye does have an effect, then the evil eye also shows its impact. Many times, due to jealousy, people cast an evil eye on others, and the after-effect of this may disrupt the happiness and peace of their families. You could possibly fall seriously ill.
To save yourself from the evil eye, you can recite the following Islamic dua:
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ، قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ۔ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ۔ وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ۔ وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ۔ وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ۔
Transliteration:
Bismillahi ar-Rahmani ar-Rahim, Qul a’uzu birabbi al-falaq. Min sharri ma khalaq. Wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqab. Wa min sharri an-naffathat fi al-‘uqad. Wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad.
Translation:
“In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the dawn, from the evil of what He hath created, from the evil of the darkness when it is intense, and from the evil of malignant whisperers, who breathe into the breasts of mankind, ‘SICA’ that desire The envier’s envy.
Recite this dua frequently to save yourself from the evil eye. Likewise, continuation of good deeds, being grateful to Allah, and seeking His protection through different prayers and supplications can also help you save yourselves from the harms caused by jealousy and evil eye. And most importantly, belief and faith in the protection of Allah must not be forgotten.
Prayer underneath is the one that is to be performed for your defense against the evil eye:

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لامَّةٍ
Translation:
A’oodhu Bikalimatillahi-Tammatti Min Kulli Shaytaanin Wa Hammatin Wamin Kulli ‘Aynin Lammatin
Translation:
“I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil, harmful creature, and from every evil eye.”
This is the prayer that Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihay Wasallam prayed to keep his grandsons Hasan and Hussain Radi’Allahu Anhuma, from evil; even Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihi Salam took words from the same to get his sons Ismail and Ishaq Alaihi Salam from harms and evil eye. It’s a supplication for protection from all forms of evil, including the evil eye.
In the incident that took place with Umm Salama, Radi Allahu Anha, Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam saw a black mark on a girl’s face in her house. He prescribed this dua, and blowing upon the victim is for protection from evil eye harm and damage.

जी हां, यह रिवायत सही है और इसे सहीह हदीस के रूप में जाना जाता है। यहाँ दी गई हदीस का एक संक्षेप है:
उम्म सलमा (रदी अल्लाहू अन्हा) के साथ हदीस:
रसूल-अल्लाह सलअल्लाहू अलैही वसल्लम उम्म सलमा के घर में एक लड़की देखी जिसके चेहरे पर काले धब्बे थे। आप सलअल्लाहू अलैही वसल्लम ने उसकी राह में रोका फिर फरमाया कि इस पर दम करा दो, क्योंकि इसे नजर लग गई है।
ऐसी रिवाययतें हमें बुरी नजर और हसद का हकीकत में होना एक अमीरी हकीकत में सिखाती हुई बतलाती हैं और हमें अल्लाह की पनाह और दुआ से अपनी सुरक्षा के लिए मुतालिक रहना चाहिए।
