Dua After Salah | Best Dua To Say After Every Salah -2024

There are some recitals and supplications advised immediately after each of the compulsory prayers. Imam Mohammed Baqir (a.s.) has emphasized that ‘There is no better way to praise Allah after prayer than Tasbeeh e Fatima’. This tasbeeh consists of:

Allaahu Akbar (34 times)

Alhamdu lillah (33 times)

Subhan Allah (33 times)

It is also desired that after the Tasbeeh e Fatima one should recite the following sentence: “La ilaha ilAllah.”

Imam Baqir (a.s.) further says that for forgiveness of sins, the following sentence should be recited thrice after every compulsory prayer:
“Astaghfarallah allazi la ilaha illa huwal hayyal qayyumo zuljalal e wal ikraame wa aatube ilaihi.”

Imam Sadiq (a.s.) says that one should recite “Subhan Allah” thirty times after every wajib prayer for the acceptance of sins.

Hazrat Ameer al Momineen (a.s.) says one should recite Sura e Ikhlaas twelve times after every Wajib prayer. Then raise hands towards sky and recite the following invocation for departing from this world as innocent as one was at time of birth.

O Allah, I ask You by Your hidden and pure, Your blessed and exalted, Your great and eternal sovereign name. O You who gives abundantly, O One who sets people free, O One who makes his end prosper: surely, I ask You for blessings upon Muhammad and his household, to free my neck from the fire, to lead me from the world safely, to grant me entrance to paradise peacefully, and to make my invocation successful, with success at the beginning, a great victory in the middle, and an excellent ending. Verily thou art the Knower of the unseen.

 FAJR SALAT تعقيبات صلاة الفجر

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

By the Name of Allah and peace of Allah be upon Muhammad (S.A.W.) and His sacred progeny. I entrust my affairs unto Allah, and verily Allah is all-seeing for His creatures.

“There is no God but You, Glory to You. I was in the darkness, then We granted him his request (Younas(s)) and emancipated him from the panic, and in like manner We redeem the believers.” Allah suffices, how good and trustworthy. And the intending crusaders returned, with grants and the grace of Allah, sins, hurt, and injury.

Whatever Allah wills and there is no might nor power except by Allah. Whatver Allah wills, not what the people desire. Allah suffices as Protecting rather than protected, as Governor rather than governed, as Bestowing rather than bestowed. Allah suffices as Patron of the worlds. Suffices the Sufficient from start of my creation. Suffices Allah the Self-Sufficient. There is no god except He. And I place my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.

Translation

In the name of Allah, and peace be upon Muhammad and his family. I put my affair in the hands of Allah. Verily, Allah is the One who sees His servants. He encircles them with what they had plotted, and He encircles completely the evil outcome of their plots. There is no deity worthy of worship except for You; Holy are You. so We answered him, and delivered him out of the anguish; and thus do We deliver the believers. Zacharias. We have given thee good tidings of a boy whose name shall be John—a name We have not given to anyone before.’ Said he, ‘My Lord. how shall I have a son, now that old age hath overtaken me, and my wife is barren?’ Answered he, ‘Thus will it be; thy Lord saith, “This is easy for Me; for that I created thee aforetime, when thou wast nothing.”‘ Said. What Allah willeth: what Allah willeth, so too do people will: As Allah willeth: for there is no deity other than Him: I place my trust in Him, for He is The Lord of the Mighty Throne

Recite this (supplication of Imam Jafar bin Muhammad al Sadiq) 25 times :

O Allah, I beseech you in the name of the rights Muhammad and his children have with you, send blessings on Muhammad and upon the children of Muhammad, and grant me insight into my religion, certainty in my heart, sincerity in my deeds, well-being of my self, sufficient livelihood, and let me thank you always until the end of my life.”

 ZUHR SALAT   تعقيبات صلاة الظهـــر

It is better that 8 Rak’ats( 2 sets of 4 Rak’ats) Nafl prayer be offered before the Zuhr prayer.

“Glory be unto Allah. There is no god save Allah. Praise be to Allah who has not taken (unto Himself) a wife, nor a son, neither He has any partner in the kingdom, nor has He any helper out of humanity; and proclaim His greatness by extolling (His glory).”

Imam Ali (a.s.) has said, “It has been narrated that the Holy Prophet (a.s.) used to say the following supplication after the Zuhr prayer:

“In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. There is no god But Allah, the Great, the Clement: there is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Throne of Grace; and all praise is for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. O Allah, I beseech You for all that time which is the cause of Your Mercy, and that which ascertains Your Forgiveness: and the benefit of every virtue, and safety from every sin. O Allah, leave not any sin on me but that You forgive it, and any affliction but that You remove it, and any illness but that You heal it, and any defect but that You conceal it, and any subsistence but that You increase it, and any fear but that You protect (me) from it; and any evil but that You repel it, and any of my needs which is pleasing to You and beneficial for me, but that You grant it. O Most Merciful, grant me my supplication, O Lord of the Worlds.”

Transliteration

Yes, this is its rewording:

Start reading with:

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
There is no god but Allah, the Mighty, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Noble Throne. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. O Allah, indeed I ask You by the sake of procuring Your mercy the expiation of the sins, in the affair of every good, and the security against every evil. O Allah, let not a sin of mine remain unforgiven, nor a shortcoming of mine unrelieved, nor a suffering of mine unalleviated, nor a sickness of mine unhealed, nor an unseemly attribute of mine unhidden except for covering, nor a promised boon to which I am entitled unslackened, nor a sorrow of mine unreliever—other than that sorrow, the judgment for which only You set, nor an adversity nor an affliction allowed to scathe.

Then say ten times: “I seek refuge in Allah; I trust in Allah; there is no might nor power but in Allah.”

Say: “O Allah. Verily, my sins are but a drop when compared to Your ocean-deep Power; my imperfections are insignificant in the vastness of Your Sovereignty; avarice may be insatiable, O You who are the Owner of copious favours. Forgive all my misdoings in number, through your generous forgiveness, and all my shortcomings in multitude through Your graciousness in pardoning. Now satisfy my voluptuous desires to obtain Your favours through Your liberal bequest. All good emanating from me is due to You, for there is no god but You. I seek forgiveness from You and I turn penitently towards You.”

Pray: “O Allah, grant me sincere and steadfast faith, a tongue constantly praising You, a heart filled with awe and reverence, a body restraining desires, beneficial knowledge, abundant sustenance, and accept our repentance. Send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, O the Most Merciful.”

May Allah accept our prayers and supplications.

And verily I know that You have Knowledge of it, and its source is in Your hand, and You only bestow it through Your munificence, and create access for it through Your compassion. O Allah, hence shower blessings upon Muhammad and his progeny; and O Lord! enhance my livelihood, which has been pre-ordained from You, and make the source close and easy to seek, and do not place me toil in searching that which You have not pre-destined from amongst my livelihood.
