Remembering and Appreciating
“So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.” (Quran 2:152)
Explanation: In this verse, remembering and being thankful to Allah concludes with the result that man finds his closeness with Allah in His remembrance because He remembers him who remembers Him also.
Guidance
“And He found you lost and guided [you].” (Quran 93:7)
This surah brings back memories of periods of Allah’s guidance, which is always present with man despite the moments man feels lost or unsettled. It manifests Allah’s merciful acts towards human beings in guiding them to the right path.
Ease After Hardship
“Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.” (Quran 94:6)
It comforts us by saying that wherever there is a difficulty, some ease is lurking over it. It is therefore suggestive of being patient and striving in the face of odd circumstances.
Doing Good
“And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.” (Quran 2:195)
Explanation: This verse urges everyone to do good; after all, Allah does love those who do good.
Forgiveness and Love
“And He is the Forgiving, the Loving.” (Quran 85:14)
Allah is the most Forgiving and the Loving. He is merciful and always ready to forgive any of His creatures who turns back unto Him.
Hope and Mercy
“Despair not of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (Quran 39:53)
They reassure us that no matter how many mistakes we may have committed in the past, Allah’s mercy is indeed limitless and He will definitely forgive us provided we turn to Him in true repentance.
Divine Planning
“And Allah is the best of planners.” [Quran 8:30]
Explanation: The verse reminds one of the best plan of Allah, quite contrary to human planning, and instills trust in His wisdom and timing.
Divine Presence
“And He is with you wheresoever you may be.” (Quran 57:4)
Explanation: Allah has always existed and is omnipresent to bring peace of mind that we have never been left abandoned.

Knowledge and Competence
“Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent.” (Quran 35:44)
It is in the infinite knowledge and capability of Allah that our assurance has to be based: He is quite aware of our conditions and in control of everything.
Human Capacity
“Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity.” (Quran 2:286)
Explanation: The above ayah gives the assurance that Allah is just, and He never burdens us with what we cannot bear. Allah ever merciful to us in misfortune.
Protection of Family
“O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families against a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.” (Quran 66:6)
Explanation: It is an injunction to the believers to save themselves and their families from misdeeds, drawing attention to a virtuous life.
Rewards of the Righteous
“Except for he who believes and does righteousness; for them is a reward uninterrupted.” (Quran 84:25)
Explanation: The verse is a promise to the person who had faith and spent his life doing good, for a continuous reward. This verse enhances the importance of spending a virtuous life.
Truth and Patience
“Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.” Quran 103:3
Explanation: The major point of this ayah is to provide encouragement in faith, good deeds, and compelling one another to the truth and patience.
Patience and Prayer
“And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah].” Quran 2:45
This ayah tells us to seek the strength of both patience and prayer, knowing that that strength is found only within those who truly submit to Allah.
Qualities of the Righteous
“The patient, the true, the obedient, those who spend [in the way of Allah], and those who seek forgiveness before dawn.” (Quran 3:17)
احسان Explanation: The verse is descriptive of the characteristics of the righteous, urging all to have patience, speak the truth, and obey, give charity, and seek forgiveness. All these were to take place at the early hours.
